Ah-Fall!

Don’t you just love fall! We do at motherhenfive. Living in Pennsylvania we have the pleasure of having the effects of all four seasons. Pretty much equal amounts of each. We look forward to the beginning and ending of each season.

What do you think of when you think of fall?

  • campfires
  • pumpkin “everything”
  • corn mazes
  • parades
  • apple orchards
  • etc…

We are right there with you! I also think of cozying up with a big old throw to keep you warm. I made one of those popular throws and I want to show you how I made it. If you knit or crochet this will be an easy craft for you. If not, don’t worry it is super easy.

My throw on our bed!

This is the yarn I used. I got it last year at Michaels when it was half off! I used three of these.
Start with a loop
and make a chain, like in crochet. I made mine 32 chains. If you want it more square – 24.
Go back the other way and pull your yarn through. May sure your chain and loops are loose. You will need the room.
Pulling throw the loop
Keep all “stitches” laying flat and all the same way!

You end it just like you do crocheting – pulling it over the loop you just crocheted.
Love this Throw!

We hope you have a happy fall! What are you making new for FALL?

  1. I love this! I have a crochet business and this is super trendy right now. Great job! If you don’t have a crocheter in your life who can make you things for the cold PA winters, please consider purchasing items from my shop! And if you don’t see something you like, I love custom orders too! Again, great job and great tutorial!
